Military Bas - The Russian Helicopters Company, a subsidiary of the state-owned Rostec Corporation, showed a new unmanned helicopter called "BAS-750" at the 8th International Technical Forum (Army 2022).

With a communication range of up to 150 km, the Bas-750 can carry a payload of up to 200 kg and can fly at an altitude of up to 3,500 meters for up to 7 hours. Its fuel tank can hold 175 liters of fuel.

The Basic Living Allowance (BAS) pays the cost of a member's meals as he dines at his permanent duty station. While BAS is intended to offset the cost of one member's meals, it does not cover the cost of meals for family members.

Since BAS is meant to provide food for the service member, the tier is related to the price of the food. Therefore, it is adjusted each year based on the increase in the price of food as measured by the Department of Agriculture. This is why the increase to BAS will not necessarily be the same percentage as other pay or benefits.
